The Critique Culture
Learning how to give and receive feedback is the most important soft skill a designer can have. A healthy critique culture focuses on the user problem, not the designer's personal taste. It's about 'us vs the problem', not 'Designer A vs Designer B'.
Cross-Functional Alignment
When engineering is involved in the design stage, you avoid 'unbuildable' designs. Design is about constraints, and engineers are the experts on what's technically feasible and performant.
