What is Wireframing?

Wireframing is the skeleton of your interface. It's the low-fidelity blueprint that allows you to test information architecture and user flow before committing to expensive high-fidelity design or code.

Consistency is Key

Even at the wireframe stage, use a consistent set of symbols for buttons, inputs, and text blocks. This allows stakeholders to focus on the structure without being distracted by 'unfinished' visuals.

Collaborative Prototyping

The best wireframes are clickable. Use tools like Figma or Balsamiq to create quick prototypes that users can actually interact with. You'll find 80% of your usability issues at this stage for 20% of the effort.
